Save the date – internationales Treffen mit viel Spa\u00df und Zeit f\u00fcreinander, aber auch Austausch von Wissen \u00fcber Gesundheit\/Altern\/Hilfsmittel aller L\u00e4nder
\nschon seit Jahren versuchen wir eine Unterkunft zu finden, die gut gelegen und zugleich mehr als 250 Contergangesch\u00e4digte Menschen auch mit einem Rollstuhl und Ihre Angeh\u00f6rigen und\/oder Assistenz ad\u00e4quat unterbringen kann. <\/p>\n
Und fast h\u00e4tten wir aufgegeben, denn es ist nicht leicht, etwas Geeignetes zu finden.
\nAber jetzt hat es geklappt! <\/p>\n
Es ist nicht so warm wie in Teneriffa, nicht ganz so weit ab vom Schuss wie B\u00e5stad in Schweden, und wir haben in dem Land schon tolle Erfahrungen gemacht mit internationalen Begegnungen!
\nDer Kreis schlie\u00dft sich – f\u00fcr all\u2019 diejenigen, welche in Nijmegen, Niederlanden, damals 1992 dabei waren!!!
\nUnd wir werden versuchen, in allen L\u00e4ndern die Contergangesch\u00e4digten in der Welt zu erreichen, ob in Brasilien, Australien, sogar in den USA, Europa, Canada\u2026.. \u00fcberall!
\nNoch einmal zusammenkommen in dieser Form! <\/p>\n
Wir treffen uns Ende Oktober 2026 in Egmond aan zee, in den Niederlanden!<\/p>\n
Der Interessenverband Contergangesch\u00e4digter NRW e.V. plant dort einen Gesundheitskongress mit vielen Freizeitaktivit\u00e4ten und Begegnungsm\u00f6glichkeiten in 2026!!!<\/p>\n
Gerne m\u00f6chten wir diesen Austausch auf internationaler Ebene erm\u00f6glichen und werden daher alle L\u00e4nder, die Contergangesch\u00e4digten Menschen dort, deren Vertreter, deren Stiftungen und deren versierte Gesundheitsberufler dazu einladen, mit uns gemeinsam sich auszutauschen.
\nWir wollen aber auch das Leben feiern, alles, was wir in den dazwischenliegenden Jahren und Jahrzehnten in den verschiedenen L\u00e4ndern erreicht haben und nat\u00fcrlich auch derer gedenken, die nicht mehr mit uns sein k\u00f6nnen.
\nUnd da gibt es wirklich viel zu feiern, denn in den unterschiedlichsten L\u00e4ndern wie Brasilien, Kanada, Schweden, Italien, Niederlande, Irland, Spanien, Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich, Australien, und in vielen anderen Nationen haben wir als Betroffene es in den letzten 20 Jahren erreicht, unsere Lebensqualit\u00e4t signifikant zu verbessern.
\nDas Thema Gesundheit und der Prozess des Alterns ist ein zentrales Thema in unserem Leben und daher wollen wir dies in den Mittelpunkt des Treffens stellen. Aber nat\u00fcrlich wird es viel Zeit f\u00fcr Gespr\u00e4che, Freizeitgestaltung etc geben. Wir gehen jetzt in die Planung! <\/p>\n
Damit der internationale Austausch auch m\u00f6glich ist, haben wir uns f\u00fcr eine Stadt entschieden, die von allen Seiten gut mit dem Flugzeug, aber auch mit dem Auto und dem Zug erreichbar ist.<\/p>\n
Wir werden uns in Egmond aan zee, in der N\u00e4he von Amsterdam, in einem gro\u00dfen Tagungshotel, dass weitgehend barrierefrei ist, treffen. <\/p>\n
Geplant ist ein Austausch innerhalb einer ganzen Woche, wovon circa zwei Tage dem Thema Gesundheit gewidmet werden und mit Simultan\u00fcbersetzung, auch in Deutsch, und Geb\u00e4rdensprach\u00fcbersetzung zug\u00e4nglich gemacht wird.<\/p>\n

Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich kann man auch vorher oder auch sp\u00e4ter an- und abreisen.<\/p>\n

Save the date – international meeting with lots of fun and time for each other, but also exchange of knowledge about health\/aging\/assistive devices from all countries – October 2026<\/p>\n
For years, we’ve been trying to find accommodation that’s well-located and can adequately accommodate more than 250 thalidomide survivors, including those with wheelchairs, along with their families and\/or assistants.<\/p>\n
And we almost gave up, because it’s not easy to find something suitable.
\nBut now we’ve made it!<\/p>\n
It’s not as warm as Tenerife, not quite as remote as B\u00e5stad in Sweden, and we’ve already had great experiences with international encounters in that country!<\/p>\n
The circle is complete – for all those who were there in Nijmegen, Netherlands, back in 1992!!!<\/p>\n
And we will try to reach thalidomide survivors in every country around the world, whether in Brazil, Australia, even the USA, Europe, Canada… everywhere!<\/p>\n
Come together again in this form!<\/p>\n
We’ll meet at the end of October 2026 in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands!<\/p>\n
We would like to facilitate this exchange at an international level and will therefore invite all countries, the people affected by thalidomide there, their representatives, their foundations, and their experienced healthcare professionals to join us in exchanging ideas.
\nBut we also want to celebrate life, everything we have achieved in the intervening years and decades in various countries, and of course also remember those who can no longer be with us.
\nAnd there is truly much to celebrate, because in a wide variety of countries such as Brazil, Canada, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Australia, and many other nations, we have achieved a significant improvement in our quality of life over the past 20 years.
\nThe topic of health and the aging process is a central theme in our lives, and therefore we want to focus on those important topics. But of course, there will be plenty of time for discussions, leisure activities, etc. We are now starting the planning phase!<\/p>\n
To ensure international exchange is possible, we have chosen a city that is easily accessible from all directions, not only by plane, but also by car and train.<\/p>\n
We will meet in Egmond aan Zee, near Amsterdam, in a conference hotel that is largely barrier-free.<\/p>\n
The exchange is planned for a full week, with approximately two days dedicated to the topic of health and will be accessible with simultaneous translation, including into English and possibly Spanish, and sign language interpretation.<\/p>\n

Gostar\u00edamos de facilitar esse interc\u00e2mbio em n\u00edvel internacional e, portanto, convidaremos todos os pa\u00edses, as pessoas afetadas pela talidomida, seus representantes, suas funda\u00e7\u00f5es e seus experientes profissionais de sa\u00fade a se juntarem a n\u00f3s na troca de ideias.<\/p>\n
Mas tamb\u00e9m queremos celebrar a vida, tudo o que conquistamos nos \u00faltimos anos e d\u00e9cadas nos diversos pa\u00edses e, claro, tamb\u00e9m lembrar aqueles que n\u00e3o podem mais estar conosco.<\/p>\n
E h\u00e1 realmente muito o que comemorar, porque em uma ampla variedade de pa\u00edses, como Brasil, Canad\u00e1, Su\u00e9cia, It\u00e1lia, Holanda, Irlanda, Espanha, Alemanha, \u00c1ustria, Austr\u00e1lia e muitas outras na\u00e7\u00f5es, n\u00f3s, como pessoas afetadas, alcan\u00e7amos uma melhora significativa em nossa qualidade de vida nos \u00faltimos 20 anos.<\/p>\n
O tema da sa\u00fade e do processo de envelhecimento \u00e9 um tema central em nossas vidas e, portanto, queremos torn\u00e1-lo o foco do encontro. Mas, \u00e9 claro, haver\u00e1 bastante tempo para discuss\u00f5es, atividades de lazer, etc. Estamos agora iniciando a fase de planejamento!<\/p>\n
Para garantir que o interc\u00e2mbio internacional seja poss\u00edvel, escolhemos uma cidade de f\u00e1cil acesso de todas as dire\u00e7\u00f5es, n\u00e3o apenas de avi\u00e3o, mas tamb\u00e9m de carro e trem.<\/p>\n
